Keeping Warm

This morning; I first
built a fire, to keep
warm!

And to cook; my break-
fast, while I was
keeping warm!

And now; as I write
this poem, forth with
I'm staying warm!

I'm watching; the
smoke curl off the
fire, to keep me warm!

hence; I am at
peace, because of
the fires warmth!

Though mostly now;
its a bed of hot
coals, that keep me warm!

for this; is a comfort
zone, that I like sit
by, that's warm!
Out here; amid nature,
where there's no cause
for...ALARM!

The Forrest Critters

On the first day: I
saw a deer, a snake,
A squirrel, a hummingbird!

None of which: my friend,
spoke to me, not so much
as a word!

And: each critter ran
with fright, at the sight
of a man!

And: took no pleasure
in seeing me, for it
wasn't in their plan's!

Even though: I took
great comfort, in see-
ing them!

Because: that's why I
come here, it is one
of my fondest yens!

for the forrest critters:
liven up my soul, and
sooths my soul within!

And each time: I
see one, it causes
my face to GRIN!!!

Alone

When; Scotty went home
early, before even
spending the night!

Because; he'd been
here with me, he made
sad a might!

Because; just for a
while, I had someone
to talk with!

And now; the silents
saddens me, makes my
feelings twitch!

But I'd walk him; back
to the hyway, and watched
him disappear down the road!

I never; thought that
Lonelyness, would be
A heavy load!

But! Now; it seem to
weigh me down, now
that Scotty has gone!

And; its not a feeling
that I'm growing
very fond of!!!

With Scotty's Help

Scotty and I, biked
Up to Camp Hidden...
...the two of us, all
the way had ridden!

And now; the tent is
all set up...
... and were both resting,
like tired pups!

Taking in, the peace-
full sounds of nature...
...and it so peacefull,
to the soul it is a cure!

for throughout, this
place is natures abode...
...Betwixed the meadow, and
the forrest grove!

And just being here,
ones' spirit can be free...
...especially where we're resting,
amid a grove of tree's!

Graduation Happy Tears

Its the morning after:
Scotty graduation, and
it seems like a fable!

And there's still; a half
eaten graduation cake,
Remaining on the table

And still: thoughts of
his commencement, ac-
tivity's, are in my thoughts!

And causing me; to laugh
A little, about what the
moment had fraught!

And Ginger: is sitting
on my lap, greeting
me this morning!

As I ponder; yesterday's
Activity's while their
in my thought's adorning!

for as Scotty; makes a
New beginning, then hence
so do I!

Causing: A happy tear or
two, to well up in my
eyes!!!

2002 Graduation (for Scotty)

As commencement hence
begins and they walk
in two by two!

As they begin this
graduation They are
honoring me and you!

As they are now sitting
and the first speakers
speak their part!

Then sang the star
spangled banner from
the heart!

Then each students
Name was called to
Receive their diploma~

300 in all crossed
the stage and they
were not alone!

As they take part in
this graduation
2002!

As we watch you
graduate, we are
very proud ... of you!!!

Now That, You're Free (For Scotty)

As you: prepare this day,
to graduate, from
High School!

And you: have finish
Learning, About All
the golden Rules!

And: it please me to
be here, as you re-
ceive your diploma!

Now that your Almost
Nearly, Now A grown
up!

And I'm glad to
see that you've grown
into such a fine man!

And it pleases me
Scotty that you have
been my friend!

And I hope you find
the time to stay in
touch with me!
